Kansas has ten byways, nine scenic, two of which are National Scenic Byways and our newest, a historic byway. In addition to being beautiful drives, the byways each have a fascinating history and an abundance of activities to enjoy.

If you were to travel all of Kansas you'd encounter 11 physiographic regions that represent an amazing variety in terrain, wildlife, and living styles. The Kansas Scenic Byways traverse eight of these regions.
