Kansas has twelve byways, nine scenics, two of which are National Scenic Byways, and three historic byways. In addition to being beautiful drives, the byways have a fascinating history and abundant activities to enjoy.
If you were to travel all of Kansas, you would encounter 11 physiographic regions representing an amazing variety of terrain, wildlife, and living styles. The Kansas Scenic Byways traverse eight of these regions.
